POPULAR cooler party series Igloo is destined for an inaugural Atlanta staging on May 3. The venue is yet to be finalised.
“We saw the need for a new party event in Atlanta that has the ability to unite all cultures under one roof embracing Jamaica, its people, culture and music while demonstrating to the world that we are out of many, one people,” RepJA spokesperson Omar Anthony told the Jamaica Observer.
In addition to fast-rising clothing brand RepJA, Jamaica’s Igloo Nation and DARK Entertainment are behind the event’s staging.
Anthony said patrons can expect the usual high-energy vibes and party atmosphere in Atlanta.
“The fusion of all genres of music coupled with the ability to be your own bartender and drink what you want with whomever and however you want, as long as it’s done responsibly. That’s the kind of vibe patrons can expect,” said Anthony.
Disc jocks Jamaican-born Mixmaster David from Atlanta, DJ Kash from Atlanta’s top urban radio station V103 FM, and sound system Coppershot will provide the musical thrills for patrons.
Igloo was first held in Jamaica in February 2009. It has been held in Florida, New York and Barbados.
